1. Introduction
Hourly is a work hour tracking application for iOS developed by BetMetrics OÜ, a company registered in Estonia. This Privacy Policy explains how Hourly handles your information. The short version: Hourly does not collect, transmit, or share any personal data. Everything stays on your device.
2. Data We Collect
Hourly collects no data remotely. All information you enter — work hours, notes, presets, and settings — is stored locally on your iPhone using SwiftData, Apple's on-device database framework. This data never leaves your device unless you explicitly export it yourself via the in-app backup feature.
We operate no servers that receive your data. There are no user accounts, no sign-in, and no cloud synchronisation.
3. Optional Permissions
Hourly may request the following permissions. Both are entirely optional and the app is fully functional without them.
Location ("When In Use")
If you enable the arrival notification feature, Hourly uses CoreLocation to detect when you arrive at a workplace you define. This uses a 150-metre geofence. Location data is processed entirely on-device and is never transmitted to BetMetrics OÜ or any third party. Hourly only requests "When In Use" permission — it never accesses your location in the background unless you are actively in the geofencing setup screen.
Notifications
Hourly can send daily reminders to help you remember to log your hours. Notification content (including your preset names shown in notification actions) is generated locally on your device. No notification content is transmitted to any server.
4. Analytics and Tracking
Hourly contains no analytics SDKs, no crash reporting services, no advertising networks, and no third-party tracking of any kind. We do not use Apple's App Analytics data for personalisation.
5. Data Export and Deletion
You have complete control over your data. From the Settings screen, you can export all your entries, presets, and settings as a plain JSON file to the iOS Files app. You can restore from this backup at any time. You can also delete all your data from within the app. No support request is required and there is no account to close.
6. Children's Privacy
Hourly is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any data from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
